In 2014 WRTP/BIG STEP formed the Minnesota Regional Training Partnership (MRTP) to address Minnesota’s workforce needs.
Dedicated to helping individuals gain access to the skills needed to reach family-sustaining careers, MRTP serves industry, improves the lives of workers and families, and strengthens entire communities.

Industrial Manufacturing Technician (IMT) Registered Apprenticeship
- MRTP has focused much of its efforts on implementing the innovative, new IMT Registered Apprenticeship in Minnesota.

Women in Skilled Trades
- MRTP works to provide mentoring, job placement, and retention services for women in construction and manufacturing Registered Apprenticeships.
